GIA Certified Appraiser . . .

About Our Appraiser’s Schedule
Our appraiser will be onsite May 1, 2013, May 29, 2013, and June 26, 2013.  Please call or stop by the store to make an appointment.  Our appraiser allows 20 minutes per item.  Therefore, if someone has six pieces of jewelry for evaluation, then two hours are needed for that appointment.  In addition, the appraiser performs jewelry appraisals onsite, complete with digital photographs, which are accepted by most insurance companies.

Should I Bring My Receipts?
Any documentation that establishes ownership, item identification, maintenance, and even past appraisals is helpful; however, each item is analyzed on its own merits at the time of the appointment.

About the GIA
The Gemological Institute of America, GIA, is the world’s foremost authority on diamonds, colored stones, and pearls, creating internationally recognized evaluation standards.  GIA certifications offer training geared to every aspect of the industry.

About GIA Appraisers
A GIA certified appraiser measures diamond, colored stone, and pearl quality, using precision tools and equipment and industry standards.  In addition, a GIA certified appraiser is a highly trained professional whose mission is to ensure an unbiased analysis of gemstone quality.  Learn more about the GIA at the GIA website.
